The First Day of First Grade

I can't believe that my baby is in first grade!! It was quite exciting when I realized the "full-time student" of the family wasn't Dan!!! Tyce was so excited to use his new "backpack suitcase" and his new lunch box. Overall he had a fun day, but he was pretty tired when he got home.

Balloon Festival

Independence Campout

We decided to hit the road before Shawn heads back to school. We went camping around the Kansas City Area with our friends the Tolboe's and saw some church history sites.

Far West - Haun's Mill - Shawn cooking dutch oven cobbler

The Community of Christ Temple - kinda crazy! Liberty Jail and the valley of Adam-ondi-Ahman were some of our favorite stops.

Because it is the middle of July it was pretty humid and hot, other than that we had a great trip!

Sam's Birthday Cake - He had a Car's Birthday, and was able to have two parties - one in Idaho and one in Iowa. He got a bunch of "Cars" toys, and all sorts of other goodies.
