Independence Campout

We decided to hit the road before Shawn heads back to school. We went camping around the Kansas City Area with our friends the Tolboe's and saw some church history sites.

Far West - Haun's Mill - Shawn cooking dutch oven cobbler

The Community of Christ Temple - kinda crazy! Liberty Jail and the valley of Adam-ondi-Ahman were some of our favorite stops.

Because it is the middle of July it was pretty humid and hot, other than that we had a great trip!
Playing catch with Sam - Cooking dutch oven chicago style pizza - YUM!! - The temple lot site - owned by the Church of Christ another break of church.

Meg,

Thanks for posting the great pics!! It looks like you had a great time camping and touring the sites. I can only imagine how hot and humid it must have been.

I can't believe that my brother has shaken Mitt Romney's hand. Does that now make me famous???

Sam is so cute. I can't believe how big he is. I would love to see you guys. I'm sure there are some camp grounds and neat historical sites on your way to Denver!!!
